COMPANY AUDITIONS
Conyers School of Ballet is happy to announce auditions for the 2023-2024 Conyers Dance Ensemble.
Conyers Dance Ensemble brings together dancers of all levels and gives them a chance to change lives through dance. CDE is looking for all-gender dancers ages 10 and up with a passion for dance and classical ballet and contemporary dance training. Pointe work is not required though it is ideal. Dancers should be taking at least 2 ballet classes per week.
Contract
Rehearsals: Dancers dedicate ~25 Saturdays to rehearsals most in the fall season to prepare for Nutcracker.
Shows: There is a total of 8-10 REQUIRED performances including Nutcracker and Spring Recitals.
Contract Date: Aug 1-May 30
Auditions
In Person: Auditions will consist of a classical ballet barre, canter work, leaps, and pointe work. *Dancers should be familiar with Cecchetti body directions.
Video: Please demonstrate barre exercises (one side), heel stretch, center adagio, petit allegro, pirouettes, and grand allegro. (Center work en pointe if applicable).
Videos should be no longer than 10 minutes.
